Description The Paraphidippus basalis Agave Jumping Spider is a large species that rivals regal jumping spiders in size as adults, but lives among agaves and similarly shaped plants in the Arizona Sky Islands. As they grow, a deep yellow-orange to red-orange band develops on their abdomen. They also have white speckles on their abdomens. This is a fast species compared with regals and other commonly available jumping spiders, but their Probably our favorite jumping spider species! They are inquisitive and less likely to hide, but they can cover some territory quickly! Juvenile is a reference to the fact that they are neither young spiderlings, nor adults but something in between. They are approximately 8th instar and currently feeding on house flies or similar-sized prey like small crickets, etc. Available at $39.99, unsexed only. Date of birth is 1/20/26.
